I don't want to use pressure treated lumber in my garden boxes will this seal buried 4x4 against wood rot ?

No, HardSeal is for interior use only.We recommend 4 coats of our AFM Dynoseal which was designed for below grade applications as a waterproofing membrane. This will stop moisture from rotting your wood and will block any leaching of chemicals from the wood into your soil.
