Safe Seal is intended for plywood, oriented strand board, and particle board that is behind the scenes, such as being installed behind drywall. AFM Safecoat Safe Seal dries a little tacky and does not have any abrasion resistance, so that is why it is used on wood that is behind the scenes.AFM Safecoat Hard Seal has enough abrasion resistance to be used on furniture, doors, and trim. It dries hard and has a glossy sheen. AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP has the most abrasion resistance, so it can be used for floors. It dries hard and comes in matte, satin, and gloss sheens.
