AFM SafeCoat Hardseal is water-based and will not bond to any oil-based undercoat. There are two options: 1) sand off the oil finish and then apply a coating such as AFM Acrylacq or AFM Polyureseal BP, OR 2) use AFM Transitional Primer over the oil and then paint with our AFM Zero VOC paint.
