I ordered a sample of the Hansa Silicate and am testing a small patch on our basement foundation. I did want to ask a technical question. We have a house built in 1904. The foundation is stacked stone and has been tuck pointed. When we purchased the home, our inspector indicated we should never waterproof the walls because they need to breathe. From what I understand, this product can be painted onto the stone to help reduce the dust, but will still allow the walls to breathe. Can someone confirm? I would hate to paint all the walls and have it compromise the structural foundation, which is in fantastic shape.

Yes, this is correct. However, the stone must be clean, dry and free of any sealers or paint. The primer is required which is applied as 50/50 mix of paint + primer. Lead time is about 7 working days. If you need further assistance, please call or email.
