Can this be used on butcher block countertops or would you recommend another of your products? You could use AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP on a butcher block countertop if you start with bare wood or wood that has been stained with a water-based stain, like AFM Safecoat Durotone. However, those are water-based products and should not be applied over the cutting board oil you have used because they will not adhere. To continue with a food-grade oil-based product, try Bioshield Wood Counter Finish.
