My husband and I recently stained a platform bed with Minwax Oil Based stain and are desperately looking for something to block the VOC�s from off gassing. Our AFM Safecoat products were designed to encapsulate these hazardous VOCs. Unfortunately, they are all water-based and will not bond well to an oil-based product.There are only two options that know will solve this issue:�1) Sand off the surface and re-apply AFM Durotone stain and then 2 coats of AFM Acrylacq.or 2) Apply Zinsser Bin Shellac and when dry, apply 2 coats of AFM Acrylacq.
