We bought a piece of furniture with only a wood veneer and it is off gassing and the whole room stinks. Could this seal in the chemical scent?

If you furniture has a water-based finish, then 2-3 coats of our AFM Acrylacq or AFM AcriGlaze will do the job. However, if the finish is oil based then our water-based products won't adhere. Instead it must be either sanded off or shellacked with 2 coats of Zinssers BIN wax-free clear shellac. Then you can apply our AFM Acrylacq over the top.
