Our laundry closet reeks like the previous tenants laundry detergent. We replaced the washer and dryer but when the dryer runs, the smell comes back from the walls. Is this safe next to a dryer, will it block the embedded scent into the walls and shelving?

Sorry, but this may not work as it is designed to block VOC emissions and not organic odors like perfumes. Zinsser BIN waxless shellac is the only product we know of that will block this type of smell. Unfortunately, we do not offer this product due to its high VOC content (which dissipates in several days).
