I used Safecoat oil wax finish on my raw knotty alder doors that turned out beautiful but darker than expected. I want to oil additional raw ponderosa pine but the oil doesn't turn out dark enough. Is there any way to add some color to the oil to try to match the pine? I have tried samples of your other stains on the wood to try to match the doors, but nothing is the right color. Any ideas? The pine is really light color.

Try wiping the wood with a moist rag first and then applying the oil. That will darken the finish by about 10 % or more. If that doesn't work, you can add paint pigments to the oil if you can find some zero VOC pigments at a local paint store. Otherwise, our Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C is a zero VOC oil that comes in 45 colors.
