When a floor is glued down, the panels generally don't gap like they might if they were floated. Gapping is usually, but not always, due to the absence of moisture in the ambient air which causes the panels to shrink slightly usually in cold dry months of the year. At other times of the year, they may expand back to their original shape. That is normal and controlling your humidity within 30-60% will help mitigate that.On the other hand, shrinkage can also be due to a plywood subfloor contracting and flooring that is glued to it will move right along with it. So, if the cork floor happens to sit on top of a seam of two pieces of plywood and the plywood separates, so will the cork separate that is glued on top. Not much you can do about that at this point.
