Unfortunately, there are no oil-based polyurethanes on the market that are truly safe as most contain solvents and other hazardous air pollutants.If your original oil-based finish was a true oil finish, then the answer would be "no" because AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP is a clear polyurethane and will not blend very well in terms of color. You will have better success with our Rubio Monocrat Oil Plus 2C which is a stain and sealer all in one. There are 45 colors that will blend easily with most oil-based finishes.
