I have some new Sauder furniture that has raw particle board on the edges. Even the wood parts that have been finished have the odor. Should I use the safe seal on the raw edges and the hard seal on the finished parts, or can I use the hard seal on the raw edges and the finished parts? I just need to seal in so no off gassing. Reviewing the Saunder's Furniture website, they confirm that their furniture cannot be repainted or sealed. https://www.sauder.com/service/common-questions As wonderful as our products are, they cannot be used over paper laminated particleboard, which is by and large what Sauder makes. That kind of surface cannot be sanded, which means nothing applied will effectively stick to it.
