AFM Safecoat SafeSeal is designed to block VOC emissions from porous composite wood. Even though your furniture has chipboard inside of it, the laminate surface cannot be sealed. It already seals the emissions from below. However, if there are any exposed areas, AFM SafeSeal may be used. Safeseal is not designed to block water intrusion. A better product would be 2 coats of AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP.
