It depends upon your situation. Contractors usually say 10-15% overage. Your installer should know how much extra to order. If you are installing yourself and you've never installed a floor before it can be a good idea to get a little extra to cover mistakes. If you are installing in a room with a lot of non-square angles this can also mean more overage is needed.
