All the sealers we sell are water based and will NOT bond with oil based wood stains. As such you are left with three options. A) Wait for it to off-gas. B) Sand off the surface you applied the oil to and start over with something else. C) Cover the surface with something a water based sealer can bond to, the people at AFM Safecoat recommend Zinsser SealCoat Waxless Shellac (which we do not sell) coated with 3 coats of AFM Safecoat Hard Seal (if you want a glossy finished surface) or 3 coats AFM Safecoat Acrylacq (if you want a matte or satin finish).
