I have 2 inch thick white oak countertops. 4 months ago I naturally "stained" them with a water and coffee combo. They have been dry for 4 months. Can I use this- safe coat naturals clear penetrating oil- over them as they are? Or do I have to try to sand out the dry coffee stain. (Online most people coffee stain with coffee and vinegar, I did not do that.) Thank you!!

This is a new question for us. I would have some concern about the innate acidity of the coffee, and the Naturals Clear Penetrating Oil is meant for untreated/raw wood. We would strongly advise you order a sample and do some testing on an inconspicuous part to make sure you get good penetration of product and a good bond to your coffee-stained countertop.Another option would be the AFM Safecoat Oil Wax finish, with the same advisory, TEST first. We sell samples precisely for the purposes of testing, particularly on exotic treatments such as your own. Let us know how it goes.
