Can I use this on the ceiling of my shower? Do I need to use a primer underneath?

Yes you can use Caliwel Home and Office Paint on the Ceiling of your shower assuming that it does not get really wet. Caliwel will tolerate water vapor and splashes fine for several years but excessive water will eventually wear off the protective coating.
