Yes, this will be the best and safest product to protect moisture from getting into the surface of the wood. We recommend 4-5 coats on a countertop. Because our products do not contain biocides or fungicides, you will need to regularly clean the surface around your sink. We recommend our HydroxiPro which is a hydrogen peroxide based cleaner that will disinfect if allowed to stand for one minute according to the CDC.
