If the table was freshly sanded, then applying Acrylacq will usually raise the grain slightly after the first coat dries. Before applying the second coat lightly sand or screen (drywall screen) the table until the grain is no longer rough. After cleaning and applying the second coat you may not need to sand again as the Acrylacq will usually cover the surface and produce a smooth finish. If not, then you may need to lightly sand before the third coat. We recommend four coats for a table. No final buffing is needed. Just let it completely cure for 4-5 days before using. It will continue to harden over the next 10 days.
