Can this be applied directly on painted walls? I am unsure if the paint is water-based. Can I use this on a shower ceiling?

We would recommend using our Transitional Primer before applying Caliwel. This will aid with the adhesion and possibility of an oil-based paint. Caliwel is great in bathrooms and commonly put on ceilings where mold growth most likely occurs.
