Generally AFM HardSeal will not have much affect on Spray Foam insulation. If the VOCs are "normal" then the strong odor may be coming from somewhere other than the foam such as the exterior plywood sheathing or plywood subfloor. These often are full of formaldehyde and can produce strong odors for a long time. Three coats of our AFM SafeSeal will block their emissions. You might also see if there has been any caulking used as that can produce strong odors as well.On another note, if the test results say one thing, but you still feel uncomfortable, then trust your body. Just because some instrument says the air is safe, doesn't mean it has tested for all chemicals in the air. There may still be something that flies under the radar and bothers your system in some way.
