We recommend AFM Acrylacq or AFM Polyureseal BP for countertops or tabletops as they both have better abrasion resistance than HardSeal. If you want a matte finish, then using gloss as the first two coats and matte as the final coat produces the clearest visual. If you use three coats of matte it will tend to be a bit cloudy. It's always best to rough up or de-gloss the surface before application to give the surface some tooth and provide better adhesion. We always suggest testing first with a sample to confirm good bonding.
