I have a wooden table that I use outside on my balcony. I recently painted it with a relatively thick coat of acrylic paint and covered it with Rustoleum Triple Thick Gloss, then realized that is not really safe for a table. Would this work well to go over that top coat on a table that lives outside to protect from weather and be safe enough to eat off of (using plates, of course)?

Provided the Rustoleum is a water-based product and you use some sandpaper to abrade/non gloss the surface and create teeth that another coat can bond on to, it could work. We recommend testing first, mixing brands (rustoleum and afm safecoat) always brings in a little bit of an x-factor.It is also worth mentioning that the EXT is not food-grade, but it is safe/non-toxic, keep your food on plates and you should be fine.
