I have a cinder block foundation with a cement based parging that had a color added to make it black. The color turned out to be a darker grey. I believe it was a powder that was added to the parging mix. Can we use the Silacote to get the black color we originally were looking to achieve? Also, if the Silacote is suitable, which type would be recommended, smooth or textured?

Silacote primer and paint require a surface that is open and porous, and free of paint, sealers, oil, or wax. The parged concrete is unlikely to be porous enough and the colorant used to make it black would be incompatible with Silacote.
