I purchased the Bioshield Stain Finish in Indigo for my cypress porch swing, I am done with staining it and it turned out absolutely beautiful by the way. I want to add sealant on this, since it is outside. I do not want it real shiny or slick, just a coat to protect mostly keep my stain beautiful. Do I go with the safecoat EXT Satin only or use the safecoat EXT gloss first then the satin? Thank you in advance.

EXT Exterior Polyureseal Clear is able to be used over most water based stains. Per the specs on the web page, it does say, " SATIN finishes requires a GLOSS coat first ". That initial gloss coat allows the beauty of the color/grain to come through and the satin will be your final appearance. We suggest you order small samples first to test to make certain it adheres well and that it's the look you are going for.
