A complete ingredient list for the water-based Acrylacq is Modified Acrylic Emulsion Copolymer, Dipropylene Glycol Methyl Ether, Water, (satin finish includes Amorphous Fumed Silica also) - no nuts. Of course you are also welcome to purchase a sample sample and test for personal tolerances as well.Acrylacq would be fine for a countertop that does not need much in the way of abrasion resistance. If you need a more abrasion resistant countertop we would recommend AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP. While countertops are not included on the official usage for this product ( Poly BP is made chiefly for floors), we have had customers use it for countertops with some success. It could work for you if applied and maintained correctly to a wood countertop.Beyond following the application instructions, we at Green Building Supply recommend:- 4 coats, minimum- Always use a cutting board to cut food on and trivets for hot pots (never cut directly on your countertop)- Remove water/condensation promptly from under flatware and glasses, or use coasters, placemats, etc.- Food oils or acid spills must be cleaned up quickly- Do not expect your polyuresealed countertop to perform like quartz or stone- For cleaning use a mild all-purpose cleaner like SafeChoice, Multi-Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser or Blissfully Clean Ingredient list for Poly BP is Modified Polyurethane Aqueous Dispersion, Dipropylene glycol methyl ether, Water, Acrylic Emulsion Copolymer (also nut free)
