AFM Safecoat Naturals Oil Wax Finish is designed to penetrate into porous or freshly sanded wood. Any finish on the surface will prevent this or any other oil from penetrating. It will simply sit on the surface and not look good. This product is not recommended unless you sand the entire table.Another option would be to sand just the Bare wood areas and then apply 4 coats of our AFM Polyureseal BP. This is a durable non-toxic polyurethane coating. Please test with a sample for adhesion and appearance.
