If it is a wood birdcage that is either raw wood or wood coated with a water-based paint, yes, it should be fine. Be sure the product fully cures before letting the birds back into the cage. Please see note below.NOTE: Acriglaze is a clear finish that will seal in off-gassing but does not provide much in the way of abrasion resistance. A better fit for your wood birdcage may be AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP, which has stronger abrasion resistance, so it would stand up better to talon and beak scratches than AcriGlaze.
