While WaterProof Cork is very dense and durable, the manufacturer recommends using plastic or wooden spacers (sliders) underneath the feet of chairs, tables and furniture. These are 2-3" in diameter and spread the load. All cork has an excellent memory and our experience with WaterProof cork underneath the feet of a refrigerator after several days was a slight indentation that bounced back in 24 hours.
