The best coating for MDF is the AFM SafeCoat Safe Seal, which doubles as a primer. You can then use the SafeCoat Zero VOC Paint as finishing coats.
My miniature 1/12 scale dollhouse is made out of unfinished MDF. Can I use this to seal it and protect the MDF from humidity? And would the MDF need to be primed before applying this product? SAMPLE - AFM SafeCoat, Hard Seal Wood Stains & Sealers
