We are making a desk out of white oak and our daughters has a "clean" house and has requested any finishing products be free of toxins, etc. WIll this work and be free of harmful fumes?

All of the products we sell are non toxic. However, that doesn't equal no scent. It's always best to go online and order a small sample first to test for tolerance as well as how it looks on the wood. This particular product does contain linseed oil which has a strong scent for some time. But, it is a non toxic scent.
