Taking a guess your chair was probably treated with all manner of nasty chemicals and pesticides. We recommend NOT using the Naturals Oil, you want to encapsulate this to stop the off gassing. Use AFM Safecoat EXT Exterior Polyureseal Clear, 3 coats.
