The click mechanism provides a very tight fit and water or urine will sit there for many hours. However, if allowed to sit too long or if it's too much water, it may eventually get between the planks. The problem is not that the cork will get wet, rather, that the subfloor may get wet. Yes, in the event of a major water issue, you could unclick the floors, dry them out and then snap them back together. Floods are not covered under warranty and are usually covered by your homeowner's insurance. Also, we recommend putting a sealant underneath the front edge that is 1/4" away from the walls so water does not get underneath it.Vapor barriers are only required over concrete subfloors.
