I am trying to prevent off gassing in a box truck with a wooden floor. The truck was used as an automotive service vehicle, so oil spillage and potentially other automotive chemicals spilled on the wooden floor of the box. The "oil and other automotive chemicals" is the problematic part of the equation. Conferring with the manufacturer to get the best resolution to your situation. First THOROUGHLY clean the wood with hot water and AFM SafeChoice, Multi-Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser. Let it dry completely. Next apply 2 coats of AFM Safecoat Transition Primer, followed by at least one good even coat of Zero VOC Paint in a flat sheen (that's the one two punch which will block the off gassing) followed by two coats of AFM EXT Exterior Polyureseal Clear for abrasion resistance as this is a floor. Safe Seal on it's own will have trouble bonding to oily areas in the wood.
