It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish for your interior and exterior of your chicken coop. Clear Penetrating Oil is a food grade product, which would be fine to make your chicken coop wood water resistant, but will not do much to prevent abrasion or UV damage. As it is an oil, it also means you cannot paint over top of it.If you want something that provides abrasion resistance while also showing the wood patterns and texture, we would recommend AFM Safecoat EXT Exterior Polyureseal Clear (which can go on the exterior and interior of the coop. Otherwise you could paint over the wood with one of our exterior Satin Paints, which would give the wood the best UV protection. If you are trying to protect the chickens from VOC off-gassing from preservatives in the wood, go with AFM Safecoat Paint. If that is not a concern, then use ECOS exterior paints.
