If the wood has been sanded all the way down to bare, then this can be used. Applying a water-based sealer over an oil is asking for trouble as oil and water don't mix well.
Is it safe for previously oiled and then sanded wood.? SAMPLE - AFM SafeCoat, Polyureseal BP, Matte Wood Stains & Sealers
