Absolutely not. Water and oil do not mix, so to put water based anything on top of oil based stain will not form a good bond or seal. and the water product will flake off of the surface.If you want to use Polyureseal BP on your oiled surface, you will need to sand down to the bare/raw wood. If you want to stain that bare wood, we would recommend you use a water based stain such as AFM Durotone. Which can be topcoated with water based Polyureseal BP.
