The manufacturer has not indicated any changes in the formula. This is one of our best selling products for the past 20 years. We've had excellent results, especially with people with sensitivities. There is nothing toxic in this product. Like most liquids, there is a mild odor when wet, but that usually dissipates within the first few days.If the application of this product has created a strong persistent odor and some irritation, it possibly could be due to a reaction or interaction with some chemical coatings underneath it.
