This is a penetrating oil finish. The product will soak into the wood and fill the pores. Two coats are recommended and keep in mind that additional coats will inhibit the ability to absorb stains. We recommend testing in an inconspicuous area to determine how it might absorb on softer woods. Application instructions are available on our website.
