I want to treat red oak ..large stepping stones cut with intent to use on the ground. Will this work?

AFM Polyureseal EXT is best for vertical surfaces. It would be too slippery for stepping stones and would not hold up. We recommend Vermont Natural Coatings Polywhey Exterior Stain because it was designed for decks and outdoor surfaces. Darker colors hold up best to UV light.
