I have red oak floors that have had danish oil and paste wax on them many years ago. Do I need to get every bit of the old oil and wax off before I use this. I really don't want to sand but don't mind stripping the wax. If I need to sand do I need to get down to raw wood?

Oils are penetrating sealers. That requires the surface to be porous. If the oil is old and wax is worn off, it might be porous enough. Generally they tend to dry out after a few years. Also, if there was lots of wear and tear it might be worn off too. You can test this by putting a few drops of oil on your floor in an inconspicuous area to see if it absorbs or sits on the surface. If it sits there and does not soak in after several minutes, you will need to abrade the surface to open the pores.
