I saw a video regarding the difference in color between the AFM SafeCoat Polyureseal BP sheens (gloss is milky white, clear, and the satin and (I assume) matte are colored. The video states that they both dry clear, but the satin and matte may build up a color on the surface if more than one coat is used. Here is my question: will the Acrylacq in matte also do this? Is it clear or muddy like the satin/matte Polyureseal BP? I have white kitchen cabinets that I want to keep a matte sheen, but not change the color with several coats of sealer.

AFM SafeCoat Acrylacq and Polyureseal BP are both clear topical sealers. They both come in different sheen levels. If you apply three coats of matte, for example, it will appear slightly hazy or cloudy. The sheen does not affect the performance of the product, just the aesthetics. If you want to see the wood clearly, then use two coats of gloss first and the final coat either satin or matte. We suggest you order small samples online so you can test them for appearance, adhesion and your own tolerance!
