Hi. I read one of these answers wrong I think. I'm working on a butcher block countertop. I was planning on using this product. I already have now. But now I've decided I need to stain the countertop. Is it possible to use Rubio Monocoat 2C Oil stain on the wood and apply this on top for extra protection? TIA for your help.

You need to decide if you want a stained countertop or a waxed countertop, unfortunately, you cannot have both. The oil wax can only go over raw/unfinished wood. The same is true of the stains we sell.If you wanted a stained countertop with water and abrasion resistance, you would need to first sand your countertop down to bare wood. Then you could stain with water-based AFM Safecoat DuroTone, and once the stain is dry, you can go over that with a topical water-based finish such as AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP.
