For wood countertops we would recommend the more abrasion-resistant Polyureseal BP. While countertops are not included on the official usage for Polyureseal BP (made chiefly for floors), we have had customers use it for countertops with some success. It could work for you if applied and maintained correctly to a wood countertop.Beyond following the application instructions, we at Green Building Supply recommend:- 4 coats, minimum- Always use a cutting board to cut food on and trivets for hot pots (never cut directly on your countertop)- Remove water/condensation promptly from under flatware and glasses, or use coasters, placemats, etc.- Food oils or acid spills must be cleaned up quickly- Do not expect your polyuresealed countertop to perform like quartz or stone- For cleaning use a mild all-purpose cleaner like SafeChoice, Multi-Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser or Blissfully Clean
