New Wallboard Primecoat (formerly known as New Wallboard Primecoat HPV) is specially formulated to provide a superior prime coat on interior surfaces such as new gypsum wallboard (sheetrock) and textured wallboard.

(NOTE: Not suitable for Greenboard).

This is super opaque, which means it is one thick primer. Primecoat solves finishing problems such as "telegraphing" or "joint-banding" by equalizing porosity and texture; it fills voids in the surface of building materials so that top coats cover more evenly.

NOTE: Don't panic. When you first open the can this may appear chunky like soft tofu, but it rolls out beautifully and nothing is wrong. It's just very thick and covers nicely.
