Paints & Primers
Our interior and exterior paints are non-toxic, zero VOC, highly-scrubbable and available in more than a thousand colors. Our primers are available for sheet-rock, wood or metal. Other premium coatings for concrete floors and decks.
It’s really amazing what a simple coat or two of paint can do. A careful paint job can make anything look better. Besides improving aesthetics, paint also will protect the inside or outside of your home from moisture intrusion, ultraviolet light, mold and mildew, abrasion, and other natural or manmade damage.
Safer Coatings
You’ll discover paints and primers here for common building materials like wood, metal, sheetrock, plaster, and masonry. We carry general-purpose interior and exterior paints as well as specialty paints and primers. These include clay paint and mineral paint for porous walls made of straw bale, straw clay, as well as stucco, brick, and aerated concrete block. For those with mold problems, we offer an EPA approved mold inhibiting paint that kills mold and prevents its growth. We also carry handy painting accessories like paint can openers, lead testers, samples, and swatch books.
Regardless of what you are painting, it’s smart to use paint and primers that are good for indoor air quality that won’t damage humans, pets, or the environment. Our paints and primers are ultra low VOC or zero VOC and exhibit very low odor when wet and are odorless when completely dry. They have also been third-party certified. Most can be tolerated by those with chemical sensitivities, allergies or asthma, or other immune disorders. But like all of our products, we always recommend testing first with small samples which are available here.
