How is the waterproof cork flooring different than the traditional cork flooring feel-wise? We love the feel of cork and the idea of it being waterproof is appealing but does it take away from the natural feel? How thick is the waterproof coating or is it kind of soaked into the cork? I see that the traditional also has an acrylic layer on top. How is it different? View answer

How resistant is this new generation cork floor to fading from sunlight? Our current cork tile installation faded badly around area rugs after a few years of partial daily sun exposure through south and west windows resulting in a bleached-out appearance compared to the much darker covered areas. Thanks. View answer

Great product from the description but being sensitive to chemicals, I find that the poly underlay needed for a basement gives off VOCs that bother me. I know they are covered by the floor but I have found the VOCs being a gas will migrate out along the perimeter. I don't want to seal the edges with a caulk as they can become moldy over time. Do you have a recommendation for a moisture barrier that would not pose VOC/odor problems from degassing? Also how safe are the top coats acrylic and PET for the cork and wood look, respectively? What is the best way to remove a stain made by leaving a potted plant with a terra cotta saucer under it? The saucer was not moisture proof and we now have have two dark stains where the pots were sitting. Probably water stains or a mix of water and mildew. On the advice of the Forbo website we have used straight concentrate Marmoleum cleaner and left it on for 2 min. This helped some but did not remove all of the discoloration. Has anyone been successful with another method? View answer

I am looking for a product for my new raw butcher block countertop that will not yellow or amber the wood. I know you usually recommend the penetrating oil for this purpose but when testing a sample piece of wood with mineral oil we did not love the yellow look of the wood. I assume any of the natural hemp oils/blends will do the same. I read online I need a water based sealer or finish. Which would be the safest to do so? We will not be cutting on the surface or eating directly off of it. I am also looking at your Acrylaq. Thank you for your help! Rebecca View answer

I need to seal off-gassing from the cabinets and glossy walls in my travel trailer. I also want to paint the cabinets and walls too. If I used the matte finish, would it be a good primer? Would the paint do well on top or should I use a different safecoat product to put over the paint and use a regular primer? View answer

I have a home in Central OR (low relative humidity but cold winters) and want to install a floating click floor. What would be the best underlayment? This looks good, but so does Global MP quietwalk and also the other underlayment you offer with vapor barrier attached. How do I decide? View answer

will this work for "slate"? I am in the process of finishing a pillar base, landing and stairs (outdoors). The landing and stairs are sheltered from the rain and sun. The pillar base is exposed to the rain and morning sun. If this works, should it be applied before grouting? or after? thank you! View answer
