Should I not use a vapor barrier on pre existing hardwood floor? The installation instructions state "Existing wood planks, engineered wood boards, OSB panels, drywall elements etc. must not be covered with PE foil acting as a vapour barrier. The area below the floor should also be sufficiently ventilated in an adequate way (back-vented skirting board) to maintain the equilibrium moisture content of the wood planks, engineered wood boards, OSB panels, drywall elements.". Does this mean that I shouldn't use the 6mil underlayment? View answer

What would you recommend for waterproofing below-grade concrete on a 1936 house in Florida? property floods about a foot. We are raising the soil 18" at house level, and slowly grading down away from the house. The concrete foundation is stucco and painted, so I don't know if Safecoat Dynoseal will work. Most materials seem to work on raw concrete only. Thanks for any help you can give. View answer

I am looking for a non-toxic waterproof sealer for an outdoor wood table top. The wood might made of Cambia Poplar or Cambia Maple. A clear product that brings out the depth in the wood would be preferred. If I used the PolyWhey product is there another product that can be applied over it that would provide a satin sheen? What would you recommend? View answer

I previously used clear caulk to prevent water from soaking through the bathtub/shower grout, but it molded pretty badly. I removed that caulk and now need something that will prevent the water from soaking through and damaging wood within the walls. Will this product, Safecoat Grout Sealer, do the trick? View answer
