We are planning on putting this over porcelain tile. We are in Arizona where the climate is really dry. Do we need to use a moisture barrier or can we go straight on the tile? We are worried about something spilling on the floors and the barrier having an opposite effect and causing mold because there is no way for it to breathe. View answer

We are planning on putting this in a bathroom as well. On their install-info on the website, it states " However, in order to prevent the water to penetrate under the installed floor (which can create conditions for growing of fungus, mold or smell), a polyurethane sealant must be applied on expansion joints. Do you have anything for that? Also, when they joints I assume it means where the boards connect to each other? I am sure normal caulking around the tub etc is standard. View answer

The exterior wall of our basement has been leaking for a few years when it rains. Black mold is appearing. This is not a dripping situation inside our basement but just a damp one. We spent a bundle last week on having our yard graded and it did nothing, sad to say. I'm looking to seal this wall very well (cinder block). Which product do you recommend? We want to go green. Thank you and thanks for creating these safer products. View answer

I'm trying to find wool underlay for placement under my hardwood floor. I can't seem to find anything other than companies in the UK. Is there a reason the GBS wool underlay is only for purchase along with carpet? Is there another resource you can direct me to for this product in the US? Thanks much View answer

I am wanting to seal raw cedar to protect it from snow and rain. I am looking for a penetrating oil WITHOUT UV protection. I have been told the added UV protectants will cause the cedar to take on an orange/red coloring. I want to preserve it's natural light color. Does this product fit the bill? View answer

I have 2 inch thick white oak countertops. 4 months ago I naturally "stained" them with a water and coffee combo. They have been dry for 4 months. Can I use this- safe coat naturals clear penetrating oil- over them as they are? Or do I have to try to sand out the dry coffee stain. (Online most people coffee stain with coffee and vinegar, I did not do that.) Thank you!! View answer

I'm interested in buying this product, but there will be a few places that only 1/2 of a tile will fit, such as next to the cabinets. Will I or my contractor be able to customize it to fit? Also we aren't able to remove the baseboards so can I caulk the space between the edge of the marmoleum and the baseboard? View answer

It says that it can only be frozen up to three times. I am wanting something like this product, but here is my project. I am converting a van into a camper, and so I am building wooden walls inside of it. I am wanting to seal it the wood, but there will be times when the van is parked in freezing temperatures. Since this product can only sustain 3 freezes, what is the best product for my van conversion project? It also must be mold resistant. THANK YOU! View answer

Thinking of using Rubio Monocoat on raw ponderosa pine. I need to stain to match Knotty Alder doors that I finished with the penetrating oil with wax. Turned out beautiful but darker than expected. Does the pine need to be pre conditioned to control the grain and which color would best match? View answer
