AFM Natura's Clear Penetrating Oil will have an odor of linseed which will last for several weeks. No one has ever described it as fishy, so we don't know what that could be. The amount of time it takes for the dissipation of the odor depends heavily on the amount of finish that was used, how much ventilation and humidity and what is the ambient temperature. Humidity will slow down the dry times. Also, rooms with tall ceilings generally have more volume of air which reduces the overall impact. Smaller rooms with short ceilings will appear to have a stronger odor. The odor is the same in both but seems to be different.
